H1B without change of status

Hello

my office applied in April for my H1B without change of status because i needed to travel during that period.

I finally received the approval to my H1B two weeks ago.

My OPT expires on Decemebr 18th and my start date on H1B is 12/01.

So my questions are: can I travel freely outside the States, as I did before, until December?

Then should I go to Italy (where I'm from) to get the visa or I can go to any other embassy outside US?

You should be able to travel till then. You can get the visa in Canada if you want to or back home.
