mskbrd
Hi, I am on L1 in a indian consultancy firm and currently have I94 till May 2015 with visa expired. Company B has filed for H1B with COS and its approved with start date of 1st Oct. I am not planning to join the company B as I have heard really bad things abt them. What are my options, I don't want to go for L1 stamping. I have canadian business visa and have a business trip scheduled in last week of Sep, I can extend the trip by few days to come back after 1st Oct. If I use Automatic Revalidation rule for less than 30 days travel, will my status will be changed back to L1. Thank you Link to comment
metroguy
You can continue to work on L1 for couple of months and no more than 6 months, otherwise you will be out of status. My suggestion to you is get a good client and join your h1b consultancy company (until then start working on L1). If you are ok with your h1b company, continue working for them, else change the employer by transfering h1b with your latest pay stubs. I did it myself. Link to comment
pontevecchio
And One wonders why the consulates in India are so bloody cynical. @OP do not use AVR. Come back with a new I94 based on your Approved L1 petition after October,1. Link to comment
