H1B Visa transfer and processing time

I have H1B visa stamping till 2014 which was filed by Company ABC and location X now I joined new company XYZ and they have filed my H1 Visa transfer petition back in July and still I have not received any updates on it. I am planning to travel to India in November so should I get Petition processed as premium or wait? And also will I need to go for visa stamping in India. I have visa stamping valid till 2014 and Visa has my old company name. Can I use same visa to come back or I need to go for Stamping.

My wife recently transfer her H1B in Regular process & it took 5 months to get her approval without RFE.

Yes, you can use the valid H1B Visa stamp to enter in US. But remember to give latest I-797A at POE to get proper date on I-94.

You can use the old visa to come back. See if you can convert to PP.
