ERam1
Hi, My wife is a H4 visa holder, she went to India and got her stamping in India in Jul 2011. When she came into US, I94 was given until her passport validity which was Jan 2012. Applied for new passport and got it. Then applied for H4 renewal to get a new I94 and got it. Now if she goes to India, does she need to go for visa stamping? Appreciate your replies. Thanks. Link to comment
pontevecchio
NO. Assuming her existing visa is valid time wise. Link to comment
ArifSha
If she goes to India and comes back within the previous visa time, then she wont need a visa stamping. If she is planning to come back after the existing visa time, then she need to go for a visa stamping/interview. Note that I also read on USCIS website that there is a visa waiver for H4 renewal, but with a list of conditions. Please check uscis website for further details. Hope this helps. Link to comment
