kvnraghu Posted August 29, 2012 Report Share Posted August 29, 2012 My current H1B visa for the first 3yrs will expire on Sept 16th, my employer has applied for extension and got the receipt notice. It's been 2 months but I haven't received I797 yet. My concerns / questions are.... 1: Can I continue to work past Sep 16th? would i be able to continue working using the receipt notice.? 2: What would be my status beyond Sep16th till I recieve response for my extension?
