L1 to H1 joining/transition

My H1b was applied and approved as a Change of Status From 1^st Oct

Now I want to leave my current employer (L1) on 28^th Sep and take a week off. i.e. (29^th Sep – 7^th Oct)

Join the new employer (H1b) on 8^th Oct.

Also what will be my status for 29^th & 30^th Sep?

Is it a major concern/legal issue when I go for

1. H1b visa stamping in future.

2. GC processing

Scenario -

Last date of employment on L1 with current employer – 28th Sep.

One week off. i.e. (29^th Sep – 7^th Oct)

Start date of employment on H1 with new employer - 8th Oct.

In general, a person in L1 or H1 status who is unemployed immediately falls out of status.

Dont worry and enjoy your week of vacation. You wont be out of status if you have a paystub for the previous month and a week doesnt count at all. we all worry too much for these little things. I was in the similar boat earlier

There is no grace period (60 days or otherwise.) If a change of status is granted effective October 1, and the beneficiary fails to join the petitioner on October 1, he/she will generally fall out of status immediately.
