H1 Transfer - How to make sure it's a smooth transition?

I am working on H1b with company A. Company B is preparing for the transfer and would like me to join based on the delivery confirmation of the docs.

1. After joining company B, can I wait for 7-10 days to resign from company A. I just want to resign after getting the receipt notice. Is it allowed or do I have to resign from company A before joining company B.

2. After transfer if I would like to come back to Company A, then would company A has to re-file H1 or the existing H1 could be used if it has not expired yet.

2. Yes. But why would they do that? I assume if you join B , A will be annoyed. Yes, if he has not yet revoked the H1 and that takes time he can take you back.
