Karthi1234 Posted August 19, 2012 Report Share Posted August 19, 2012 Hi, My employer applied a H1B for me and I received a I-797 H1B approval notice valid from 01/Oct/2010 to 01/Jun/2012. I got a H1B visa stamped for the date 01/Dec/2010 to 01/Jun/2012. I stayed in US for 1 year (01/Dec/2010 to 30/Nov/2011), then I came back to India for some family reasons. Now my H1B visa / I797 both expired. Can I use the same I-797 petition to apply for H1b again or I have to start from scratch for the same employer.
