Please suggest what to do...." => As per law you should be given the lower part of I797. If your employer is not giving it to you, they are doing something illegal. They are fraud. You should call to ICE immediately. Remember, I94 is the ONLY proof of your status. You don't have proof of your status; you are hypothetically out of status. Complain and find some better employer. Before complaining to ICE, ask again for I94 in writing by email. Write them 3-4 emails to different email ids, like HR, CEO, your manager etc. These emails will make sure that you were aware about your rights and will also strengthen your case. If you employer will be found guilty, they will be awarded at least one year ban for H1b and GC. Remember, you don't complain, you are partner in crime. Link to comment
