Jack.mad
Hello all I have a valid L1B till Dec 2012. I used to travel in this visa for any project related work for My current Company X. Currently I am in my home country. Now my current employer is planning to file an extension or new L1B as part of new project work. Meanwhile a company Y filled a new H1B in may 2012 under regular processing and it is in initial review and start date mentioned was 1 Oct 2012. Questions: 1. Can I go and file extension or new L1B via Company X in parallel to Company Y's H1B ? Would there problem ? 2. will my current employer X would come to know about my H1 filling of Company Y ? Since I thought to leave company X only when H1 approved for company Y. 3. Company Y has an attorney. while H1B filing, I was in India and they asked me whether I would travel to US before 1 Oct 2012 ? I said I may or might travel to US before Oct 2012. Does these details provided would affect me in any way on my existing L1B or L1B extension or new L1B? Please advise. Please also advice if there is any point which I need to take care. Cheers RJ Link to comment

pontevecchio
Your current employer can file the L1 extension. If your H1 comes through get the H1 visa and come over in H1 status to join the H1 petitioner. Link to comment
Jack.mad
Thanks. During the L1 extension process, will my current employer X get to know about H1 filing by emp Y ? This is my biggest concern since I would like keep the H1 process hidden from current employer until I get my H1 stamping . Cheers J Link to comment
pontevecchio
Unless Y calls X to get a reference they will not know. I assume this is not the case. Link to comment
