H1B Extension, question

Hello,

Here is my current situation; Initially when I applied for H1, I got for 3 yrs approval and last year I transferred my H1 visa to a new company (company-B) and that time I got only for 1 yr approval, that new H1 is going to expire this December 2012 and my contract with my current client may end in this December and it may get extended to next April.

Given this case, I have some questions:

can I apply for H1 extension now itself with my current company (company-B), insted of waiting for last minute

If I stay with my current company (company-B) and assume that my project will be there for next April, will I get the approval for 1 yr or I could get 2 yrs what are the chances

Lets say I applied for H1 extension with my current company (company-B) and I got the approval for 1 yrs (lets say my new H1 expires on August 2013), if my client is okay...... would that be a good idea to visit India for stamping??

or would that be a good idea to pursuive any other oppurtunity, possiblity long term

H1 extensions can be applied for up to 6 months before the current petition expires. Stay away from layers' if you can. You MUST discuss the future with a Lawyer.
