Resigned on H1B,hold B2 visa as well - should i re-enter USA?

Hi,

I hold H1B and B2 US visas.

Resigned from job a couple days ago with 2 months notice,but i want to stay in US for a couple more months after october to wind up things here.

once i return i-797 to the company,since i have a B2 visa,can i stay in US till i-94 date of H1B or should i re-enter US with B2?

You would need to file a COS from H1 to B2 with reasons and proof of finances.
