nagvamsak
Hi, I have a few questions on my H1B extension and H4 visa . Can you please clarify them for me. 1. My I797 is getting expired on 02/07/2013. Can I apply my extension before 6 months of expiry. Also,Can I apply it now? 2. I am on verge of getting married by the end of August. Can I apply for H4 visa without my H1B extension now? Is there any minimum number of months of H1B necessary? Thanks, VN Link to comment
SameerH1Bworker
There is no such minimum number of months of H1B necessary rule for H4. However, for H4, you can only apply after marriage, and NOT before marriage. H1b extension can be applied within 6 months of expiry. Link to comment
pontevecchio
You can make the appointment beforehand though your spouse can only go after Marriage. Many such posts in the forum. Search for them. Link to comment
