H1B(2012) got Approved but OPT Expired on (07/19/2012) - Herguan University

Hi All,

Need help. I got my H1B Approved w/ start date OCT 1st 2012 but my OPT Stem Extension expired on 07/19/2012. Do I need to get an Cap Gap I-20 and maintain the SEVIS for these 2 months.

I graduated from ******* University and Yesterday USCIS and SEVP revoked the SEVIS authority to ******* University.

What would be the next step for me. !!!!!

untill they release sevis you can not do anything on cap gap

You should talk to a Lawyer. If the H1 was based on qualifications obtained elsewhere you can leave and come back with the H1 visa at the appropriate time.
