My wife filed GC for me. I recently got EAD. I have interview for GC in 1 month. What is the process if i want to travel in 2 months ? I dont have even have H1B visa( i have only H1B approval and i did not travel after i got H1B approval). what is advanced payroll ? how to apply for that ? If i travel on EAD, AP and GC interview was done but GC is still pending, will i have any problems to enter back? Do i need to attend US embassy backhome even though i have EAD, AP but because i dont have H1B visa ? If my GC is approved while i am outside the USA, can i still enter with EAD, AP ? pontevecchio Posted August 4, 2012 Report Share Posted August 4, 2012 EAD has no connection to returning. The AP lets you travel while the GC is being processed. Advance Parole lets you travel and be paroled back while your GC is being processed. Usually one applies for AOS/EAD/AP in one step. Maybe you got a combined EAD/AP card? Link to comment
