H1B extension (current company) and new H1B (new company) same time

Currently I am on Valid H1B till 18 Sep 2012 (my first H1 for 3 years). My current company already filed my H1B extension and I have receipt with me but not approved H1. I recently got an offer from another company and they are ready to file my H1B.

Question # 1

Is there any problem if new company file my H1B while H1B extension from old company still in process?

Question # 2

If new company file my H1B, can I get receipt in few weeks? Can I start work with new company on base of receipt?

Please help me with this. This is urgent for me.

Thanks for your response. New company is applying in normal processing not premium processing. They are saying that we can get receipt of the application in 2 weeks and I can join the new company on receipt. Can I get receipt in 2 weeks and Can I join on receipt?
