B1/B2 - H4 - F1 - H1B

Hi,

I worked in India with MNC and traveled to US on B1/B2 in 2009 for work. Currently I am on H4. With my limited knowledge, I gather that its difficult to transfer from H4 to H1. I already have masters degree in Project mangement from reputed UK university but I am still thinking of doing masters and COS to F1 so that later I can apply for H1B.

Now, i am worried that having all possible type of visa on my passport will not cause a problem or should I try my luck next year in H4 to H1 directly.

H4 to H1 COS implies a H1 petition and the quota is gone. You can find a H1 sponsor who will file after April,1 for a start date after October,1.

Thank you for you reply. I have found a sponsor which is a desi consultant company with better image but their track record on H4 to H1 is little dicy and also they have received RFE and denial on OPT to H1.

I am really concerned. Thinking if I should take admission to a university or find other company.
