L1 Visa expires but valid i94

Hi,

I had L1 Blanket Visa from April 2009 to April 2012. I haven't utilized my Visa in 2009 year. I came to US in 2011 Feb. in port of entry i got i94 till 2014 May month.

Now my Visa got expired in April 2012 but i am running on my i94 status based on my company attorney suggestion.

I need few clarification on my status.

1) Will it be a problem if i would stay on my i94 status longer duration (means till my i94 expiry date) ?.

2) Should I be apply for any extension ?

3) Will it create any problem if i would go for stamping next time for any kind of Visa ?

4) My wife also has the same i94 (L2 till 2014 April ) status like me. She needs to visit India coming month for a shorter duration. To get her back here on L2, will my i94 copy enough for L2 stamping ?

L1 Blanket has different rules. Your Lawyer did not suggest anything. He laid down the law. Does that make sense? You seem fine.
