offbias
Hi all. I quit my masters program in a northern US state a couple of years back due to extreme climatic conditions. I was in F1 status then. After working in my home country for a while I now have a job offer from a university in virginia and will be appearing for H1B stamping. Theres about 20degrees of temperature difference between the cities in the winter and its much shorter in virginia. Can my visa still be rejected because of this? In short whats the best answer i can give to the question "how do you know you wont experience climatic difficulties in virginia?" Link to comment
pontevecchio
Why would you even mention such a reason? You just decided to leave. Its a free country. Link to comment
offbias
due to my history it can be used to justify immigrant intent Link to comment
pontevecchio
H1 is dual Intent and hence you can flaunt it if you want. Immigrant Intent DOES NOT MATTER for the H1 visa/status....So post # 4 is besides the point. Link to comment

JoeF
In SD, and all over that area, winter is 6 months. Link to comment
