aspire_h1b
I am working on H-1B Visa with Company A and have applied for H-1B Transfer to Company B. I have an H-1B Transfer receipt of my H-1B Transfer filing with Company B. My start date with Company B is 13th August. I am looking to work with Company A till 7th August and then use rest of the days till 13th August to relocate to a new location for Company B. 1. Is it an issue to have 6 days gap between the last day (7th August) at Company A and the start date (13th August) at Company B? 2. If yes, how many days of gap is permissible between the last date at Company A and the start date at Company B? Many Thanks Link to comment

aspire_h1b
60 days is permissible. Thank you for your kind response. For this period of 6 days, I would not be on any company's payroll. Will it not throw my Out Of Status as I am on H-1B Visa and not employed by any company for this period of 6 days? Link to comment
pontevecchio
I assume the post is clear enough. Link to comment
aspire_h1b
60 days is permissible. Also, will it not create a gap in Payroll as I would not be employed for a period of 6 days. Kindly suggest. Link to comment
pontevecchio
If you are in valid H1 status and then a new sponsor files and gets a H1 petition approved, you have 6o days to report. That seems clear enough. If you want the actual rule look for it in GOOGLE. Link to comment
