Company name change while H-1 is still in process

Hi,

My H-1B(new) was applied in April 2012 & is still in process. Now, my company has changed its name to accomodate a new business (everything else is the same - just a name change) - a new Fed Employer Identification Number (EIN) has been issued & all the current assets have been transferred to the new company. Does this affect my H1B processing? Do I need to take any action regarding this, in order to ensure a smooth processing - like notifyng USCIS of the name change??

Give HR/The company Lawyer a call and ask them if they are going to file the necessary paperwork to amend your petition..

What about Employer tax Id #? Is it also changed?
