whizkidd17
Good day, My wife and I are currently on H1B employed in two different companies. We have filed for our greencard application through her employer. We have received her approved i-140. Our i-485 is still in the "Initial Review" Status. We both received our approved EAD and AP. They're valid based on the dates printed on the card. Is it okay for me to switch employers using my EAD? Should I file for an H4 visa under my wife's employer too? Link to comment
pontevecchio
You can switch jobs based on EAD and can work for anyone in any field as you are the derivative beneficiary. Link to comment
kalyan_ac
You can use your EAD as a derivative of your wife's petition and you dont have to file for H4. But its probably a good idea to continue on H1 for its validity period unless you have a very good offer or reason to change jobs.Just an advice. Link to comment
