sameer24p
hi all, i am on a h1-b visa that will be expiring in 2014. however, i have got a job offer from hongkong and will be moving there..so in this case, does my h1b visa become invalid on the final day (termination date) with my current employer. do i have a buffer time to stay in US before leaving for good (to get final check & 401(k) amount from current employer, finish all formalities here)..can someone please guide me in this matter? thanks in advance... pontevecchio
You can file a COS to B2 a few days before and once you have the receipt you can stay and leave before they decide. In any case a few days will not matter. Think about it. Say your job ends on Friday at 5 PM. Are you supposed to dematerialize to the Airport ASAP? The common sense approach prevails. Link to comment
