My questions regarding H1B and GC filing?

Iam on OPT right now, Planning to file for H1B on April 2013 and get it by Oct 2013. Can I file GC as soon as my H1 B got approved?

Secondly, I heard that while filing for your H1B the offer letter from client must show that the project is a long term project and not like 6 months or 12 months if it is actually. If the client letter says the project is 6 or 12 months then the H1 B will be given only till the duration of the project. Please help me with these questions?

You can have a sponsor file for your GC even if you are not here. Start looking for a direct employer and avoid all the hassles of getting the visa.
