My employer is willing to give me an extended long leave of absence. Is that viable based on my visa status? Am I allowed to take up a job in India on a temporary basis when I am on leave of absence? wiweq Posted June 20, 2012 Report Share Posted June 20, 2012 Yes, no problem. You can take long leave, you can work form India, you can take another job in India no problem. Not in USA means not on H1b. Whenever you will plan to come back to US, just have valid I797 and employer letter, that's it. Link to comment
