True9999
My husband becomming US Citizen next month, my i-485 which is derivative is still pending, I'm working on EAD. He is going file i-130 & I-485 (concurrently) i-765 and I-131 for me. Once my husband is Citizen does my old I-485 cancels automatically ? Do I have to stop working until I get new EAD or Can I continue working ? True9999 Link to comment
JoeF
No need for a new I-485. Having two I-485s pending can cause delays. Just interfile, i.e., amend the existing I-485 with the new underlying immigration petition, i.e., the I-130. Link to comment
pontevecchio
You can continue working. Your AOS continues to be effective. Link to comment
True9999
I case I am filing to interfiling ( Conversion) for my existing i-485, do I need to engage immigration attorney.? Or I can do it my self as it is just filing I-130 and a cover letter stating inter filing. your reply is very much appriciated. Link to comment
True9999
there is lot of debate on Inter-file Vs filing new I-485 through blogs its difficult to decide. Link to comment

True9999
Hi Pontevecchio, Per your post dated 11 May 2012 2:10PM You are saying I can work with my old EAD (AOS pending) before I get my new EAD ( I-130 & I -485). Do we have any proof with uscis page, that I can work. sorry for asking like this .. I have been through a lot with USCIS in the past, my old case pending since last 9 years.. Now I have couple of job offers, you know in this tough time how difficult to loose an oppourtunity. And I do not want to get in trouble too. Link to comment

pontevecchio
Yes, You can. It is too much trouble to dig up all the relevant official documents. If you are still in doubt give a Lawyer a call. Link to comment
