Is H1B stamping required for second time to visit india?

Hello,

I have approved H1B visa till oct 2012, but my visa stamping was given till march 2012. I need to go to india again in july 2102. Do I require another H1B stamping till oct 2012?

My company's attorney told me that I dont require another H1B stamping. She said usually H1B visa is provided for multiple entries. As long as visa stamping shows PED date as oct 2012, there will be no problem. She asked me to carry I-797 to show at

Please provide your inputs.

Your visa has expired in March 2012. You will have to go for stamping again to comeback.

Visa is not a petition.

1. When does your H1 Petition expire?

2. What date is mentioned in your visa passport stamp as the expiry date.

1. My H1B petition expires on SEP 16 2012

2. On my passport visa expiry date is mentioned as March 2nd 2012

You will need a new H1 visa as the current visa would expire before your return.
