Starting fellowship on EAD

Hi all,

I am on H1 B visa. I am a full time employed doctor. This is my 7 th year.

Perm filed, EB2. I 140 approved in 12/08.

My date became current in 01/2012. I filed for EAD and I 485. I got the EAD in 3/2012 for 1 year. I got a fellowship in cardiology at my current university (who is my employer).

I am going to get a part time contract for the duration of the fellowship. When I finish, I will again continue in my previous job title.

My EAD expires in 03/2013. Can I renew it with the part time privileges.

For my fellowship, I need to apply an H1 extension. Is it possible? I am on my 7th year in H1.

Is there any way I can join my fellowship on the EAD?

My time is short. Please let me know.

My lawyer and the university folks are surprisingly ignorant in these issues. I am trying to contact a private lawyer.
