pvenigalla Posted May 3, 2012 Report Share Posted May 3, 2012 I will be completing 6 years on H1-b visa by Nov-2012 (including vacation time). I didn't succeed at PERM process. My qn is can I convert from H1 to F1. If I convert to F1 do I have to go to stamping before joining Grad School. Also I heard working on CPT. When do a person apply for CPT?? Please advice. Thanks! JoeF Posted May 3, 2012 Report Share Posted May 3, 2012 Forget CPT. That is dead, due to abuse. You may have heard of the raids on TVU and ****. A major reason for the raids was abuse of CPT. Cut that CPT acronym out of your vocabulary. An F1 is for studying, not for working. Link to comment
