So_Close!
My wife and son left US with approved AP in 2008, which obviously expired in 2009. In Aug 2010 their GC got approved along with mine. I have mailed GCs to them and they plan to travel back in Nov. Could their be issues at point of entry in this situation? Link to comment
ohio_r_b
They may question reason for long absense from 2008 until now given they intended to be PRs. You can simply say that intent existed and is valid after attaining PR and not before. US PR is a privelege and not a right so they can question if they want. Simply answer honestly and they should be fine, but its better to be educated about 'Intent to be PR' Originally posted by So_Close!: My wife and son left US with approved AP in 2008, which obviously expired in 2009. pontevecchio
PLEASE discuss the matter with a Lawyer and soon. You do not need problems down the line. Link to comment
vnellai
You family members were able to return to US with their GCs in hand without any problem? Did they ask anything at PoE? Please share the experience as it would benefit others... Link to comment
