mohitbanga
My company is a small sized company and the owner , has a lot on his shoulders. So when i asked my manager to file for H1B, the owner replied that , he wants us to hire an immigration lawyer and file for H1b and he would take care of the expenses. So is it something that can be done , or should I tell them that only the company can file for an H1B. ??? Link to comment
livliv
Yes, company will file the petition. But if they are going to pay for everything, all I see is they are asking you to select a lawyer for filing. Sure, you can select the lawyer, no problem with that. Link to comment
kalyan_ac
You can find a immigration lawyer for yourself and as long as the company bares the expenses for it that should not be an issue. Link to comment
redgreenbluee
please consult a lawyer. your employer might not be familiar about H1 and wanted you to find an immigration lawyer to help prepare the H1 application, search for one and ask the immigration lawyer to talk to your employer for the application details. you are only helping your employer to find an immigration lawyer and you will not be involved further. srikuppa
You can do this on your own. Call an attorney that has good experience in handling H1-B visas. Link to comment
rahul412
when he is ready to take care of the expenses then whey he is not ready to hire attorney? That sounds suspicious. Link to comment
Jyothis
I think they are asking you to just find an attorney. Company has to file for it anyway. I would say, hire an attorney and ask both to work with each other. Link to comment
