My PD: JAN-2007 (EB2 India)

Got current as of July 1st 2011

Sent AOS, EAD, AP application for my wife on June 30th to be recd. by USCIS on July 1st.

My green card application approved on 5th July.

Got approval email on July 8th

Got cards in hand on July 9th

Got all 3 receipt notices for my wife on July 9th.

Got fingerprinting notice on 18th July for my wife.

Fingerprinting scheduled for 11th August 2011.

My PD is Feb 2007 and got my GC on 13th July.

I filed my wife's 485 on 5th july.

I didnot file AP or EAD.

Is it necessary to file all the three?? Any way they will get GC so what is the use of AP and EAD?

Received her receipt notice on 12th july. Still waiting for Finger print notice.

Its not mandatory to file AP and EAD. When you file I-485 you can file AP and EAD for same price i.e. $1070

Hello Intransition,

I have a question for you.

I am assumign you filed 485 in july 2007.

Did u get any RFEs before your case got approved? (since 495 pending for long time)

did u get any request for more fingerprints etc?

Did u change jobs? If so, did u file AC21?

You don't have to pay extra for AP or EAD. AP is very important to have to leave and enter US while you are on Pending AOS, that is your wife's status when she applied her 485. I hope your wife don't need to do any emergency travel, but if she has to, AP is a must. If your attorney is charging you more for AP, do it yourself.

strynz -- Yes. I filed for my 485 in July/August 2007.

1) I did not get any RFEs

2) I did not get any more requests for fingerprinting either.

3) I changed jobs last year and filed AC21.

Its the same for my wifes I-485, I-131 and I-765 receipt notices, it doesn't have any priority date.

Not sure if its mandatory to have the date for derivative

Hi rhodypoker,

Any idea on the timeline between biometrics appointment and EAD/ AP or GC approval?

My wife just gave her biometrics on Aug 11. PD became current as of July 1.

Became current on June 1st, my GC got approved and received on June 24th.

Husband I-485, EAD and AP application reached USCIS on June 1st.

Received receipt notices and Appointment for Biometrics,

had biometrics done on July 19th. However no information found in USCIS case status using LIN numbers on receipts.

How long it takes to get the Green card and why I can't see the status using the LIN numbers in USCIS case status check online?

My PD: September 2006

GC approved and received June 14th

Wife I485, EAD and aP application reached USCIS on June 6th.

Received receipt notices on June 13th (for Nebraska center). Received 2 biometric appointment (2 separate dates, 08/25 and 08/31). One came to us, the othr went to lawyer. Its weird so we will go for the first one and see what they say. Also, EAD and AP application approved. Online status says card production in progress

if there is no information on USCIS case status, please call USCIS customer service.

usually they will say the databse is down or something but they can update the application status.

Hello All,

Just want to update the forum that my wife's GC has been approved and the Plastic cards are also been mailed.

It took about 2 1/2months for the AOS for a derivative application.So, for the applicants who are waiting for their Spouse approval please be patient. They will get soon.
