L2 and stock trading

I am on L2, and was thinking if I could open a brokers account and do some trading in the US markets.

What all is required to do.

SSN I have, do I need to apply for EAD also. I don't have EAD yet.

Is EAD required to open a stock brokers account; Can stock trading be done without EAD?

Trading in stocks/bonds/ETFs does not need EAD, as long as you have an SSN and legally in USA.

You just need to make sure that you follow the tax rules correctly and report your earnings. Check with a tax consultant to know the tax implications. Most cases the brokerage firms can also answer your questions.
