kraziboi
HI, Currently i am on H1 but my H1B visa on my passport has expired. MY current I-797 expires on mid march 2013. I am planning to india for H1B stamping in April . I will have 11 months left on I-797. when i go for stamping. Will the consulate in india issue visa even though the valid I-797 is only 11 months. Has some one got visa approved in india with less than one year of valid H1B on I-797? Link to comment

kraziboi
Thanks for the reply Guys!! What is 221g?? Link to comment
ankurg09
221g is the form VO gives you when he find anomalies on your record. Its basically Administrative processing. If you get 221 g your processing time could be anywhere from 1 week to unknown amount of time... and even after the processing there is no guarantee that your visa would be approved.. May I ask what model are you in E-V-C , EC or a FTE ? reason I'm asking this is because if you'r in EVC or EC - Chances of getting 221g is really really high... Not trying to scare you but prepare you. Link to comment
