L1B visa valid - Is my entry legal to stay?

My current L1B visa is valid till the 30th June 2012 (issued 08th Mar 2010). Most recently I re-entered US on the 14th November 2011 after one year stay in India.

I had completed 5 years of stay under L1B as on 20th October 2010.

I returned back to India even while my current visa was valid (till 30 June 2012). After 1 year of my stay outside US, I have returned back to US on 14th November 2011. Now, is my stay illegal?

Did I have to apply for a new L1 visa as soon as I completed 1 years stay outside the US, while still holding a valid L1 visa?

This is a matter best addressed by your HR. As you are aware L1 is an intra company transfer. First ask them what the situation is.
