arrasharath Posted January 25, 2012 Report Share Posted January 25, 2012 Hi All, My H1B visa rejected at Kolkata consulate. I am in US for 6 years and my 140 approved. I received orange slip kolkata consulate and none of the documents asked by the VISA officer. But in rejection letter they have mentioned submitted documents are not enought to issue visa. My wife and 2 years kid are in the USA. My wife is on H1, Can I go for H4 visa - Suggestions are appreciated. Mail from consulate below: Attached please find the refusal letter for your H1B visa. When H1B applications are denied, the entire packet is returned to Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) for petition revocation. A letter explaining the lack of qualifying employment is attached, but the original petition and documents will be sent to KCC. Any further action must now take place in the United States. Thanks pontevecchio I am planing to attend next H4 visa. My company attorney suggested H4 is the best option right now. Any process apealing take more time. My family is really waiting for me .
