applied for H4 to F1 but PD will be current next month

My PD will be current next month.

Wife has just applied for change of status to F1 from H4 (2 weeks ago). we didnt have any idea that PD will be current that soon.

1. do we have to withdraw her application for F1 as we will be apply for AOS?

OR

2. we do nothing and F1 application automatically gets denied.

I would appreciate your response.
