souvik.dekhan
HI, My H1B Visa is valid till DEC 2013.But in my I94 date is mentioned as 01 MAY 2012. I received this date in my I94 because my old passport was valid till 1st May 2012. I have issued a new passport now. But to extend my I94 date, please let me know what I need to do? Thanks Link to comment
livliv
Two options, Employer can file an extension. You can leave the US and return. Either must be done before I-94 expires. Link to comment
souvik.dekhan
My Employer informed me to go to nearest CBP and get new I-94. I went to the nearest CBP office but they told me, from the last year rule has been changed and they don't do it any more. They informed me this is not a correction because they put the date in I-94 based on the passport expiry date. They referred me to contact USCIS office for that. In USCIS, they have provided me I-102 form for I-94 extension. So is this the correct form to extend my I-94 date and to match the Form I-797 petition expiration date or I have to fill up some other form? Please let me know what I need to do?Thanks. Note: I-94 expiration date(1st May 2012 based on the old passport expiration date and I have a new passport now) Visa/petition is valid till Dec 2013. Link to comment
livliv
I-102 is for replacement of lost I-94, it has nothing to with extension. Like above you have two options. Travel outside can be to Canada/Mexico or any other country. Link to comment

mumbai007
Hi All, I am also in the same situation and as per my attorney, we can either apply for H1B (which means any H1B application like a renewal or transfer) can get you a new I94 or the other way would be to step out of USA and come back with a new I94. Thanks.... Link to comment
