vikky141 Posted January 4, 2012 Report Share Posted January 4, 2012 Hi, I am in US on H4 visa. I have received approved H1 from a company A and my effective start date is mid Jan 2012. What if I don’t join the company A because another company B is applying for my H1 before effective start date of H1. I want to join company B. If I don’t join the company A what will be my status after mid Jan till I get approval from company B. Will I be on H4 or I should join company A to maintain a legal status in US? Link to comment

In the meantime B can file and if necessary you can leave and come back with the H1 visa with the approval through B. In any such situation please talk to a Lawyer proactively before the fan is sullied..... Maybe give the firm of Murthy a call. What you propose is possible with expert help. Link to comment
