L2-EAD to H1B

Hi All,

I am currently on L2 visa. I have recently applied for my EAD card. Now one company is ready hire and sponsor H1B. My question...since, I have already applied for my EAD, will there be any issues with the H1B application. Are there any issues if these two are processed at the same time. Will it matter, if H1B got approved earlier, while the EAD is inprocess or vice versa?

Both are not related. The H1 cap is closed, so unless the employer is exempt or you have had H1 in the past, you have to wait for Apr1-Oct1 next year.

Thanks for your reply. I have had H1B in the past. My question, if H1b is approved first, will my L2 and EAD application become void automatically.

Yes if the H1 employer applies with COS.
