sampitroda
Do we need to carry Original I 797A everytime we leave and enter US? I think original is meant for the employer. Will a copy help when entering the US border. P.S. I am not talking about the VISA stamping here. Link to comment
pontevecchio
The Employer gets one and you get another original approval. You should carry your original on coming back. This is a redundant question as they will consult their database should you present a copy or if they have any doubts. Link to comment

I 797A is addressed to the lawyer and I 797C is addressed to the employer. There is no document that is addressed to me. In I797A it is mentioned that it meant for the employer to keep and bottom left part is for the beneficiary to keep. If I carry the bottom left part of I797A along with a copy, do you think there can be any problem? Link to comment
