Two I-797s and expiry dates

I have a question which nobody is being able to answer, but I am hoping that the knowledgeable readers of MurthyForum would be able to.

FACTS:

1. My current H1 and my wife's current H4 expires in Dec 2011.

2. We have received new I-797 approvals for H1 and H4 till Dec 2014.

3. My wife is travelling to India and has a visa appointment in Nov 2011. The visa stamp has expired in 2009.

4. Assuming that the visa is approved, my wife is scheduled to return to USA at the end of Nov 2011.

QUESTION:

A. What will be start and expiry date in the visa stamp (given by the U. S. consulate in India)?

B. What will be the expiry date in I-94 (given at the port of entry)?

You have an approved H1 petition till 12/2014. She does not have an approved H4 petition as H4 status does not involve a petition.

a. From the time of applying till the expiry of your H1 petition in 12/2014.

b. Till your H1 petition expiry in 12/2014.

You have to actually look and make sure of this before moving on.
