H4 stamping without H1 being stamped

Hi All, Need expert advise.

I am currently on H1-B visa with a new employer (H1 visa transfer on the basis of approved I-140 from old employer) which expires in Sep 2014. I just started my new job and need to get my H1-B visa stamped but do not have any vacation days.

Question: Can my wife get her visa stamped (H-4 visa) without me stamping my H1-B visa and re-enter the country.

Please advise.
