International travel when PD is current.

Hi all,

My PD is current from Oct 1st and my AOS has been pending since July 2007.

I have a family emergency back home and I may have to travel abroad for a couple of weeks. I have my AP valid until Jan'2012 and EAD until 2013 and I am the derivative applicant.

Can I exit the country while my dates are current with my valid AP? What happens if my GC gets approved while I am outside of the country or would there be any problems if they call me for bio metrics while I am away?

Please advice.

You can travel on AP till its validity. If the AOS is approved while you are out you would come back in AP and tell the POE Officer about it.

Dates being current have absolutely no impact on your ability to travel. If the petition is approved, you enter on AP. That's what AP is for.
