suumm Posted September 30, 2011 Report Posted September 30, 2011 Hi, I have my EAD and I want to check if I am eligible to work at two places. I am currently working with an employre A on H1 Approved 7months ago. I am planning to take a part time job at store. Is it fine if I work for two people at same time. Please let me know as I can take the opportunity with your suggestions.

Attorney_6 Posted September 30, 2011 Report Posted September 30, 2011 The EAD provides unrestricted employment authorization. So, it would be ok to have a second job with an EAD. In this situation, there are some (unclear/unanswered) questions as to whether an individual with H1B status, working in an H1B job, is still considered to be an H1B if they have an EAD and use that to work in a second job. But, on the sole question of is the work in the second job allowed as long as there is an EAD, the answer is yes.
suumm Posted October 11, 2011 Author Report Posted October 11, 2011 Hi here is the detailed information of my situation, Currently I am working with an employer A on H1B. I got EAD with employer A. I am offered a part time job from a college which accepts EAD. So am I eligible to work on two jobs one with my H1 and other with my EAD.
