If you GC is approved based on Employment, do you have to be employed at any given time or you can be off the work ( take a break or something in between). Also, in similar direction, what if someone gets laid off and can not find another job. Response appreciated.

Belle Posted July 2, 2011 Report Posted July 2, 2011 All you need is proof that at the time of filing and while the petition was pending, you intended to work for the sponsor and the sponsor intended to employ you indefinitely. As we all know, intents don't always fullfill, and layoff is one of the cases when they don't. And it's ok.
