faraaz
Hello Folks, My I-140 recently got approved, and my PD is current ( EB2 and country of chargeability is not India). I have spoken to a couple of law firms about filing my I 485, but the fees (~2000) sounds steep. My case is pretty straight forward, came here on F1, got H1b approved a couple of years ago (under the Master's Quota) and then I-140 under Eb2. I have never been out of status or out of job ( have pay stubs for entire period on H1-B and OPT). I am considering filing my own I-485, but am being warned by people, that an I-485 filed without a lawyer is more likely to get an RFE. Is that true? What are other risks associated with filing your own I-485? Any help is appreciated. Thanks! Link to comment
pontevecchio
That is not true. Go ahead and file. Link to comment
