Can I exit USA with present Visa expired and new visa granted but not stamped

Hello All,

My present visa expires on Sept End 2011.

I have H1B extnsion granted till Sept End 2014

I wish to travel to India after presnt visa expiration (on Oct 20th 2011). My new visa is not stamped on my passport yet.

Is it a problem not having valid stamped visa while exiting USA. I will have visa stamped in India.

No problem at all. Many are in the same situation. They come to US & file for extension, so, it does not required to have Valid visa stamp while LEAVING US.

Though you need valid visa when you come back to US.

While your h1b was extended, you would have got a new I94 form along with it, you can submit that while exiting. however to reenter you need to get your passport stamped freshly.
