Simultaneous H1 H4 interview

Hi all,

Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences in this wonderful board. We really appreciate the effort everyone puts in here. My question is this- can an H1B (myself) and an H4 (wife) attend the interview together on the same appointment at the Chennai consulate.

Details: I am currently working in the US. My six years of H1 is expiring by the end of August this year and the three year extension (based on 140 approval) is underway with the USCIS. I will be getting married at the beginning of next year and will be going to Chennai with my wife for our visa interview in January next year.
