EAD approved, 485 pending

Hi,

I got my EAD card last week in my mail.

My 485 was filed along with EAD application

(chargeability to Bahrain).

a) Does anyone have any idea of how long before I get my 485 approved?

b) Will the GC be sent in mail, or will there be a interview process involved?

c) Cab I add a spouse before or after getting my 485 approved?

d) After getting my GC, if I sponsor a GC for my spouse, how long would it be before my spouse gets a GC?

1. Up to 6 months.

2. An Interview is unlikely though biometrics may be requested if not done already.

3. Your spouse can apply on her own right now. Why have you not filed her AOS?

I am not married, but am seeing some one.

If I add a spouse after getting my GC,

how long would it take for the spouse to get a GC?

Generally, when an I-485 applicant gets married this spouse married before the I-485 is approved can file his or her own I-485 whenever the priority date, category and country are current.

For specific legal advice it is generally a good idea to consult with an experienced immigration lawyer.

The Attorney gave you good advice. If you get married after the GC she will wait for 4-5 years unless she can qualify for H1 and come over.
